Historic Fohs Hall Announces Appointment of New Executive Director

Fohs Hall is pleased to announce the appointment of Leah Keene as its new Executive Director. Keene will lead the organization in advancing its mission to preserve local history, foster community engagement, and enhance the historic venue as a premier destination for events, education, and cultural experiences.

With more than 10 years of experience in hospitality management, community development, and event management, Keene brings a wealth of expertise and a passion for preserving historic spaces while creating meaningful opportunities for community connection.

“The Board of Directors of Fohs Hall, Inc. are thrilled to have Leah Keene on board as our first Executive Director.  With her unique skill set in technology, and social media, combined with her extensive experience in the hospitality industry she is a perfect fit for Fohs Hall. Her venue management and event planning experience will prove invaluable as we prepare to celebrate the 100 year Centennial celebration of Fohs Hall in October 2026.”  said Alan C. Stout, President and Chair of the Fohs Hall Board.

As Executive Director, Keene will oversee daily operations, strategic planning, fundraising initiatives, community partnerships, and programming designed to celebrate and preserve the history and legacy of Fohs Hall.

Keene joins the organization from Henry Horton State Park located in Chapel Hill, TN, where she managed the park’s event venues, lodge, cabins, restaurant, gift shop, and catering services, while also overseeing hospitality software systems across the State of Tennessee. During her tenure, she led Tennessee’s Hospitality Diversity Task Force, implemented and managed software integrations for state hospitality parks, and developed productive relationships with strategic business partners, including community organizations and local and state government agencies. Her leadership earned national recognition for the initiatives she successfully implemented.
